Chia Swee How

Chia Swee How is an Executive Director of Tax of BDO in Malaysia. With over 23 years of corporate tax experiences in Malaysia and Singapore, he has advised multinationals, group companies and entrepreneurs in Malaysia on a range of land, property development and construction projects, cross border business transactions, supply chain planning, mergers and acquisitions, and setting up of private equity fund structures. His primary focus has been on sectors namely property development, construction, manufacturing, and services.

Throughout his career, Swee How has provided tax advisory services for asset-backed securitisation transactions and served as tax advisor to listed property development companies on the development of both residential and commercial properties in Malaysia. Additionally, he has worked on tax restructuring initiatives for landowner-developer joint ventures, tax structuring for the reorganisation of business operations and capital allowance maximisation exercise for the retail sector.

Prior to joining BDO, Swee How was a Tax Partner and Real Estate Tax Leader at Deloitte.
